Barrenjoey Lighthouse
- The Lighthouse, positioned 91m above sea level, is located at Sydney's most northern point: Barrenjoey Head. It is a sandstone structure built in 1881, designed by Architect James Barnet.
- To get there, you can walk along Barrenjoey track for 1km, or take the Smugglers Track, a more challenging hike.
- This track, built by convicts around 1840 , got its name from the customs officers who used it to monitor smugglers bringing contraband to Broken Bay.
The "Smugglers Track" is a shorter route to the lighthouse, but it is a steep climb to the top.
